Before turning to fine jewelry and timepieces, James crafted custom motorcycles, focusing his hands-on precision and love for detail into every build. A serious motorcycle accident changed the course of his life, opening the door to a new path in craftsmanship. He discovered the artistry of working with gems and metals, and now pours that same dedication into creating unique, one-of-a-kind jewelry and watches.

The name "Sun Mountain" holds deep personal meaning: it honors their two boys, whose Korean names translate to "Sun" and "Mountain."
